In simple words, RSD is Rush Soccer's department that focuses on the development of coaches, players, and parents, and the union of us all under a common vision and belief. We are the main promoters of the Rush Way.

Our approach includes four cornerstone duties:

  • Developing and promoting The Rush Way.
  • Assisting our clubs in their context specific needs. 
  • Making top-quality learning resources and events available for all of our coaches, players, parents, and clubs.
  • Contributing to the extension of career developmental pathways, progressively building our developmental pyramid.

Sporting Project Director

Pablo Toledo, Rush Soccer’s Sporting Project Director, and leads this team by bringing a combination of coaching education and project management skills that reflect in his education and experience.
He is a graduated Economist with a Master’s Degree in Project Evaluation who worked as a Project Manager for some of the largest corporations in the world, to later on specialize in what he's passionate about: Coaching Soccer. His education in the sport is also extensive, holding multiple USSF, CONMEBOL, and AFA coaching licenses, and postgraduate studies in Sports Training (Soccer concentration).


Global Goalkeeping Director

Sean Connors joined the Soccer Development team in January, 2021, in the role of Global Goalkeeping Director, bringing his extensive coaching experience at Youth and College levels all across the United States. The Buffalo, NY., native has worked with Washington Rush as the Director of Goalkeeping since 2013 and Technical Director of the club since 2021. From 2012-2016, Sean coached at Seattle Pacific University for the Women’s Soccer Team. Prior, Sean coached at Humboldt State University in California, and at St. John Fisher College in New York, for both the Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams.


RSD Content Manager

Federico Lopez Frey joined the Rush Soccer Development Department in July 2020 under the role of Content Manager. Federico, who holds an AFA Coaching License, brings multiple years of experience as a soccer journalist and editor and his position is the engine behind all of our programs, covering the multiple roles of journalist, editor, webmaster, and administrative lead, to make sure the entire department runs smoothly and delivers on time, top quality content.


Global Futsal Manager

Chris joined the RSD team as Futsal Manager on September, 2021. His experience as a player and coach are extensive and in some of the highest levels. As a coach, he started his career as an assistant at his alma mater, FIU in 1996. That year, they lost in the NCAA DI National finals. Later on, when he became a father, he got involved in the youth game coaching at all levels, from recreational soccer to the Development Academy level and now MLS Next. Along those years, he developed a very successful Futsal program as a tool to develop better players and people. That program grew amazingly and ended up providing an outstanding rate of players to MLS academies. Through his role, Chris assists all Rush clubs in the design and implementation of Futsal programs at the local level.


RSD Implementation Manager

Kenny Skinner joined the Rush Soccer Development Department in November 2021 under the role of Implementation Manager. Kenny brings years of experience within coaching and directing at the youth level. Kenny holds licenses through many different federations such as the FA, USSF, NCSA, USYF, etc. Kenny's passion is player development and finding ways to help clubs improve their ability to engage their players into desired programs. Through his role, Kenny will be assisting Rush clubs in designing solutions to help clubs implement these programs locally.
