Being a part of CCS offers individual player pathways and experiences that are second to none. The Regional events are scouted and players are selected to attend National Training Camps in AZ or VA. These venues combine the best in the country in each age/gender to compete for a spot on the Futures team. The Futures group travels to Spain for an intense week of games and training. Hosted at the Atlanta International Convention Center, the Sunshine Regional showcased some amazing talents. As a founding member of CCS, SSA/Rush SE enjoyed its best finishes in the 4 years of competition. The CCS Rush teams all finished as finalists in 2011, 2012 and 2014 boys age groups, all losing out to national powerhouse, YellowCap from Atlanta. The older showcase teams in High School (2006-2008) and 2009/2010 age categories gave us some great entertainment on their way to 3rd and 4th place finish respectively.

Next up for SSA/Rush SE will be Summer Jam in June and CCS Nationals and Worlds in Orlando this July where both Rush Futsal clubs will compete.

Rush Futsal’s annual Winter Futsal Cup continues to grow and bring the Florida futsal community together. Hosted at the David Posnack JCC in Ft Lauderdale, FL during Dec, the Winter Futsal Cup is becoming known to host a national caliber competition. Games were played in front of fan-packed gyms, leading to a great competitive environment. The championship trophy was a show-stopper this year and the teams fought hard for it. Shout out to the Miami Rush 2010 MLS Next team who dominated their competition en route to becoming champions. Miami Rush Head Coach, Orlando Bueso “This event helps my players out during our Christmas break. It keeps the players sharp and ready for the Spring season.”

The 5th edition of the Winter Futsal Cup will be held Dec 27-29, 2024 in Ft Lauderdale, FL.

Rush Central kicked off their first competition at United Futsal’s Champions Cup Series Great Lakes Regional. Hosted at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Chicago this past December, the players enjoyed highly competitive matches. Rush brought 5 teams to the competition.

2011, led by Chicago Rush player, Lorne Schiller and Minnesota Rush players Andrew Guitierrez and GK Noah Elder finished as finalists. The 2012 team, led by MN Rush players Jackson Niven and GK Lucas Benz and SWMO Rush player Ethan Hurst finished 4th. The 2013 team, led by MN Rush players Mason Arnold and Axel Guitierrez, fished 4th as well. The 2014 team, led by MN Rush players Zak Lee and GK Jacob Elder, finished 3rd after a nail-biting PK shootout in the 3rd/4th place game. The 2015 team, led by MN Rush players Cael Covar and Danny Nasr and SWMO Rush player Nolan Rockne finished as finalists after a heartbreaking loss in the finals.

All the teams represented Rush Futsal well and respected the game to the utmost. The players are looking forward to the Nationals and Worlds in Orlando this summer.

The partnership with United Futsal offers Rush Central the opportunity to build a robust youth futsal program while allowing players the flexibility to continue participating in both soccer and futsal.

In preparation for the upcoming season, Rush Central’s plan for success involves the identification of talent through ID Camps and rigorous training. Their overarching philosophy and vision revolve around nurturing aspiring players to compete in Champions Cup Series events, with futsal playing a pivotal role in identifying young talents who can progress through their player pathway. With a lead coaching staff consisting of Leo Barbosa and Fio Santos who bring over a decade of experience at all levels, Rush Central’s goals for the upcoming season are clear – to compete against the nation’s top futsal clubs, elevate their brand within the futsal community, and win.
