WEEK 5: NEW WEEK, NEW CHALLENGES - LET'S GO!

To master is to be able to control or superiority over someone or something. Practice, practice, practice – it’s going to take a lot of time and repetition. A simple skill needs to be practised for an individual to be able to use it in a complex situation.

Goal: Increase a player’s confidence with the ball by teaching them control of their body and the ball.

And here we are! Last week of our program. Now is time to check how much you improved after working hard and consistently through these weeks. Go through the work out early in the week and finish strong by doing the fitness test. Let us know your results! We are looking forward to knowing how you did!

Is there anything more awesome than seeing a player dribble past 3,4,5 defenders?! Well, these players did it so many times!

Be explosive as you work this week. Push yourself to get up faster and get more reps of each activity in. Push the amount of work you put in and if needed take a longer break. Push your body to explode to the ball. Train fast so you play fast!

BETTER W5 - LEVEL 3 - 20 MINUTE AT HOME TRAINING SESSION

This drill is designed to help you improve your ball control. This is a great drill to do to help you develop the ball control, that will enable you cut and change direction quickly.   Goal: When you reach the point of being able to do whatever you want with the ball; you will have more fun playing the game.

FITTER W5 - SOCCER PLYOMETRIC DRILLS

This week we will work on plyometrics to reach the seventh week of our eight weeks program. On the field, players moving fast and accurately in shorts distances are the ones that make the difference. Be the game changer by changing the pace of the game with fast reactions. Add this work out on your week calendar and keep the consistency throughout the season.

I’m tired coach Adrian and coach Mauricio! Let us wear our Christmas pants and watch a movie! Let’s watch this one together boys and girls. ADVICE FOR THE WEEK: Always take care of your cleats, no matter how ugly looking or old they might be. They could be magical!

BRAVER W5 - FOCUS IS SHOT STOPPING & LIVE ACTION!

This session is about putting everything together and stopping live shots in a controlled area. Using a four yard goal (half of a full sized goal), challenge yourself to save 100% of the shots. If you can save balls in this area you will be a solid GK. Add saving balls in the remaining four yards and you will be fantastic!
